- 1)Procurement Manager is responsible for all category management including both direct and indirect spend for Menuma site in collaboration with Site professionals, Regional and Global Procurement professionals.
2)Work with various Regional and global category management teams on developing Global, Regional and Local sourcing strategy.
3)Responsible for identifying and managing profit plan (budget plan) savings targets for country categories, creating and executing risk management plan.
4)Primary activities（※Primary activities include, but are not limited to）
•Category Scope - Direct responsibility for a portfolio of categories and supplier relationships management. Collaborates for regional and Global categories. Participates in creation and implementation of 1-3-5 year strategic sourcing plans. This includes both Direct and Indirect categories.
•Global / Regional category management – Participates in Global/Regional category management and leads country team to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for various categories of Manufacturing and Supply Chain
•Ensure activities are in compliance with regulatory agencies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
•Ensure compliance with Procurement Code of Conduct and good business ethics. Competitive bidding must be performed fairly and objectively.
•Sourcing Management - Leads the Sourcing Management Process to manage assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, innovation and regulatory compliance within country category of spend and collaborates on Global teams, resulting in breakthrough strategies which optimize value and ensure appropriate risk management. Understands the Sourcing Management Process and how to apply required tools in the creation and implementation of source plans.
•Proactive Cost Management - Achieves cost control, cost reduction, and cost containment targets, and adds value to area of expenditure through a strong total cost orientation.
•Market Knowledge and Insight - Uses thorough market knowledge and data analysis to gain critical insights that drive the selection of Sourcing Strategies and continuous improvement activities.
•Supplier Management and Conditioning - Responsible for building relationships with suppliers and managing supplier performance against business requirements using proven processes. Supports major Global supplier relationships as appropriate. This includes providing regular reporting on supplier performance, conducting performance reviews with suppliers to bring them to the next level of performance.
•Stakeholder Management and Business Sponsorship- Ensures appropriate stakeholders are identified and managed through stakeholder matrix. Engages assigned stakeholders and partners with them to define and meet or exceed business requirements and identify and manage profit plan savings targets. Understands strategic business requirements at 1-3-5 year horizon.
•Drive innovation by having good engagement with stakeholders and good market intelligence of related categories.
•KPI management; Monitor Supplier performance about delivery and quality control and improve performance through collaboration with Stakeholders and global professionals
•New Product Launch; Ensure on-time launch by sourcing materials through collaboration with stakeholders and global / regional procurement professionals;
•Contract Negotiation and Management - Once strategy is approved, personally leads the sourcing including RFX, RFP, negotiations and contracting for key categories to put in place the right suppliers. Negotiates at tactical and strategic levels to develop local, regional, global company contracts.
•People management - Responsible for selection, development, retention and performance management of one or more procurement specialists.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing or related role.
Knowledge of Procurement related business processes.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity required.
Demonstrate strong skill of supplier management and stake holder engagement and coordination.
Demonstrates strong leadership with particular strengths in Championing Change, Communicate candidly, Build Talent, Achieves Results.
Experience within Pharmaceutical or Health Care Industry is an added advantage.
Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain/Material Management/Procurement related field strongly preferred.
MBA or advanced degree and/or relevant certification is desirable.
Business Level English (written and verbal)
Category experience desirable.
Experience in international business desirable
